The national tourist route across the Sognefjellet massif between Luster and Lom is the highest and arguably most impressive mountain pass in Northern Europe (highest point 1,430 metres above sea level). The route takes you up close to the majestic Jotunheimen national park. The road is closed during winter but usually reopens around 1 May.
